Terms of Service

These Terms govern use of the websites, applications, SMS services, AI features, and related services provided by Chat Candor LLC (“Chat Candor,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By using the service, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy.

1. The service

Chat Candor is a technology platform that helps adult couples communicate. It may ask questions, analyze communications, suggest wording, draft messages, create approved positive messages, identify themes, and facilitate conversations through web and SMS.

2. Not therapy, professional advice, or an emergency service

Chat Candor is not therapy, couples counseling, medical care, legal advice, or another licensed professional service. It is not designed to diagnose or treat any condition. It does not continuously monitor for abuse, violence, self-harm, or emergencies and may fail to recognize dangerous situations. Contact emergency services when immediate help is needed.

3. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 18 and legally capable of agreeing to these Terms. You are responsible for protecting your authentication credentials and for activity through your account.

4. Invitations and independent consent

You may invite another person only for a legitimate purpose. An invitation does not create an account or consent on that person’s behalf. You may not use invitations to harass, threaten, surveil, impersonate, or repeatedly contact someone who does not wish to participate.

5. SMS terms

If you separately opt in, you authorize recurring automated service messages related to Chat Candor. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out and HELP for assistance. Promotional consent, if ever offered, will not be a condition of purchase.

6. Conversation Content and participant boundaries

You retain rights in content you submit and grant Chat Candor a limited license to store, process, transform, and transmit it as necessary to provide and secure the service. Private content is subject to the sharing controls explained in the product and Privacy Policy.

Every participant may pause or stop. You may not circumvent another participant’s opt-out, block, relationship exit, or other boundary.

7. Artificial intelligence

AI is probabilistic and can be inaccurate, incomplete, misleading, or inappropriate. It can misunderstand intent, context, humor, or risk. Users remain responsible for their communications and decisions. Private Conversation Content is not used by Chat Candor to train general-purpose AI models.

8. Acceptable use

• Do not threaten, harass, stalk, intimidate, coerce, or abuse another person.
• Do not secretly surveil, impersonate, or circumvent someone’s communication boundaries.
• Do not submit unlawful, fraudulent, infringing, or malicious content.
• Do not attempt unauthorized access, overload the service, or exploit a minor.

9. Subscriptions

Chat Candor is planned at $29 per couple per month with no free trial. One payer covers both participants. Subscriptions renew monthly until cancelled. Final cancellation, refund, renewal, and failed-payment terms will be disclosed before checkout and reviewed for applicable automatic-renewal requirements.

10. Privacy and third-party services

Our Privacy Policy describes information practices. The service may rely on telecommunications, AI, cloud, security, and payment providers. SMS may be delayed or undelivered, and the service may be interrupted.

11. Disclaimers and liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties that it will be uninterrupted, secure, accurate, appropriate, or suitable for a particular relationship or circumstance. Final limitation-of-liability, indemnification, dispute-resolution, governing-law, and jurisdiction provisions will be completed by counsel before paid launch.

12. Suspension, termination, and changes

You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend access for material violations, security risks, misuse, nonpayment, or conduct that may cause harm. Material changes to these Terms will be communicated as required.
