Privacy Policy
Effective September 28, 2026 · Policy version 2026-09-28.1
Chat Candor LLC (“Chat Candor,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates an AI-assisted communication service designed to help adult couples communicate more thoughtfully. Communications may be personal, intimate, and sensitive. Protecting those communications is a core product requirement.
1. Information we collect
We may collect a first or chosen name, mobile number, authentication information, account preferences, consent records, relationship membership, subscription status, and information you choose to provide. Card information will be processed by our payment provider and is not intended to be stored by Chat Candor.
The service may process private responses to prompts, SMS messages, message drafts, approved partner-facing messages, interaction history, and AI-generated summaries or suggestions (“Conversation Content”). We also receive delivery status, opt-in and opt-out records, timestamps, browser and device details, security logs, and diagnostic information.
2. How we use information
We use information to operate and secure the service; authenticate users; maintain individual consent; facilitate requested communications; generate prompts, drafts, and approved “treats”; process subscriptions; provide support; prevent misuse; and meet legal obligations.
We do not use Conversation Content for third-party advertising.
3. Artificial intelligence
AI systems may analyze Conversation Content to ask questions, identify themes, suggest language, summarize information, or help facilitate communication. AI can be inaccurate or misunderstand context. Users should exercise judgment before relying on or sending AI-generated content.
Private Conversation Content is not used to train general-purpose AI models. We seek contractual and technical controls that prevent AI service providers from using private content for their own general-purpose model training.
4. Relationship privacy and sharing
Each participant has a separate private relationship with Chat Candor. An invitation is not consent. One person cannot enroll the other, and one participant’s silence or activity is not disclosed to the other as pressure.
Private input does not become partner-visible merely because it was submitted. Partner-facing content should be shared only when the user approves it or both participants separately enable a clearly disclosed feature permitting specified automated sharing.
5. SMS information
After affirmatively opting in, users may receive verification codes, service notices, private prompts, approved messages, and relationship-related notifications. Message frequency varies; message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out and HELP for help.
We do not sell mobile numbers or SMS consent information, and we do not share SMS opt-in data with third parties for their own marketing. We disclose messaging information to telecommunications providers and vendors only as needed to provide the service.
6. Service providers and disclosures
We may use cloud hosting, AI, telecommunications, authentication, security, support, and payment providers. They may process information only as needed to provide contracted services. We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect rights or security, investigate misuse, or respond to a credible risk of serious physical harm. Chat Candor is not an emergency-monitoring service.
7. Data minimization, retention, and deletion
We design the service to use first or chosen names, encrypt phone numbers and private identifiers, separate private and shared-approved records, and retain information only as long as reasonably necessary. Final retention periods will be published before paid launch.
Users will be able to request access, correction, deletion, relationship exit, or withdrawal of consent. Consent evidence and limited security records may be retained where legally required. Shared records may not disappear from another participant’s account when one user deletes their own account.
8. Security
We use safeguards designed to protect information, including encryption, access controls, environment separation, logging, and data minimization. No service can promise absolute security.
9. Adults only and prohibited use
The service is for people age 18 and older. It may not be used to secretly monitor, impersonate, threaten, harass, coerce, or circumvent another person’s decision to stop participating.
10. Your rights and contact
Depending on applicable law, users may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of personal information and to withdraw certain consent. Contact Legal@chatcandor.com.
11. Changes
We may update this policy as the service evolves. Material changes will be communicated as required, and the version accepted by each participant will be recorded.
